Wirral Heart Beat is an independent charity dedicated to assisting the excellent work of the Wirral Heart Support Centre (Wirral PCT) based at St. Catherine's Community Hospital, Birkenhead.
Wirral Heart Support Centre is one of the United Kingdom's leading cardiac rehabilitation centres and provides specialist support for local people who have suffered heart attacks or who may have heart related health problems. Wirral Heart Support Centre is widely acknowledged to be a "centre of excellence".
Currenty the Centre has a wide range of staff - including Cardiac Nurses, Exercise Physiologists, Dieticians, and a number of Doctors with specialist interest in heart health matters, etc - managed by Mrs Frieda Rimmer (the centre's Clinical Services Manager).
