Wirral Heart Beat is a registered charity dedicated to supporting the work of the Wirral Heart Support Centre - a NHS operated Cardiac Rehabilitation Unit within the framework of Birkenhead and Wallasey Primary Care Trust - based at St. Catherine's Community Hospital, Birkenhead.
The Wirral Heart Support Centre is one of the United Kingdom's leading Cardiac Rehabilitation Units providing specialist support for local people who have suffered heart attacks, heart surgery, or who may have heart related health problems. Currently the Centre has a variety of staff members - including Cardiac Nurses, Exercise Physiologist, Dieticians, etc - managed by Mrs Frieda Rimmer (the Centre's Clinical Services Manager).
